Why We Built This Site
Monroe spreads its phone information across a lot of separate offices. The City of Monroe staff directory covers municipal employees and city facilities. Union County runs both an office directory and a staff directory. Union County Public Schools publishes a school contact list, a department list, and a name search. The courts are listed by the state judicial branch. The hospital, South Piedmont, Wingate University, the library, and the utilities each keep their own numbers. Monroe also has no 311 line, so there is no single desk that absorbs everything. Add the 704 and 980 area-code records from NANPA and the FCC, and the picture gets crowded fast. We gather the lookup tools, the contact routes, and the numbering reference for all of it in one place.
What You Will Find Here
- Pages by phone topic: phone area codes, phone numbers, and phone codes
- Local directory contacts: City of Monroe departments, Union County offices, Union County Public Schools, South Piedmont, Wingate University, the Union County Library, the utilities, and public safety
- Directory walkthroughs: what the Monroe city staff directory searches on, how the UCPS staff search behaves, and how to check an unknown caller against an official source
- Phone numbering reference: the 704 and 980 area codes serving Monroe, the local prefixes tied to the Monroe rate center, N11 service codes, star codes, and toll-free prefixes
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to the City of Monroe, Union County, Union County Public Schools, any North Carolina agency, any utility, any phone company, or any directory operator. There are real limits to what we can help with:
- We do not dial offices for people or transfer calls
- Directory listings are not ours to add, edit, or take down
- We have no way to confirm who was behind an unknown call
- We do not give legal advice, and we cannot say how a particular scam applies to your case
- Numbers and links go stale between updates, so we cannot promise every one is right today
Only the office that publishes a number can confirm it or change it. Dial 911 in an emergency. Dial 988 for a mental health or suicide crisis.
